Daleks won't be exterminating anymore?
"But now the world-famous catchphrase of the Daleks - 'Exterminate' -
is to be banned from the next series.
BBC bosses say it's too cheesy for modern audiences, according to the
Sun."

Hopefully this is just the Sun maintaining its usual level of
journalistic accuracy, although I wouldn't put anything past the BBC with Michael Grade at the helm...

Interesting. The BBC Cult Doctor Who site used to say that there definitely would not be Daleks in the new series. Now it says 'They will return.'

I wonder if the Beeb bowed to public pressure.

Initially the beeb & Terry Nation's estate were unable to agree about using the Daleks in the new series.
"The BBC offered the very best deal possible but ultimately we were not able to give the level of editorial influence that the Terry Nation Estate wished to have."
if this report is right you can see why the Estate were unwilling to leave the BBC to get on with it...
