1. Which book are you currently reading?
HULK The Incredible Guide

2. What book did you read last?

4. Do you own most of the books you read, or do you borrow them from a library?
Own mostly- I borrow graphic novels from the library

5. Who was your favourite author when you were a child?
P.G.Wodehouse

6. What were some of your favourite books when you were a child?

apart from Plum's works, Arthur Ransome's books- I rather identified with Dick from Winter Holiday -
Hugh Walters SF stories,& The Dr Doolittle books.

7. Which literary character would you like to take out on a date and why?

um......good ghu the good ones are all taken.....
I guess Ekaterin Vorsoisson (from Lois Bujold's later books)
but I'd get out of the way quick when Miles came along:-)

8. Which author would you most like to have a `one-to-one' with?

Plum I guess

9. Which fictional character would you most like to have a 'one-to-one' with?

Lots of fascinating ones - I guess a followup post might be in order...

10. Which literary character would you least like to be stranded on a desert island with and why?

There are plenty of offensive ones

11. Which character would you most like to be stranded with?

Miles Vorkosigan, as we'd be there about 2 seconds before he worked out a way off:-)

12. In which literary/fictional location would you most like to live?

Ungle....the most interesting ones are often the most dangerous.....
I'd like to visit the Disc but live there?
I think not,.....I think i'd plump for Lois Bujold's Beta Colony.
Very high tech, sexually unrepressed & low violence.

13. Which is the best TV/film adaptation of a book you have seen? why?

um, I tend to treat adaptations separate from the book....

14. Which is the worst TV/film adaption of a book you have seen? why?

see above

15. What film adaption do you actually like more than the book?

I suppose tiggsybabes has a point about the Bond films - they are a lot more ....
"out there" than the books

16. What book do you like better than the film adaption?

Just about all of them

17. What are your top 5 favourite books?

Ungle....

2 jointly - Pratchett & Bujold

19. What is the most memorable line delivered in a book?

Don't Panic!

20. What is your least favourite book and why?

Escape from the Planet of the Apes - its the only book I can think of that I've actually put aside to dispose of.....

21. If your life was a book, which author would you choose to write it?

Pratchett I guess - he wouldn't be kind but at least he might be able to make the tedium sound interesting.....

Of course I'm right about Bond *g* I am always right :) I've read all the early Bond novels & enjoyed them massively, but the films are just wonderful :)


Don't Panic! is an excellent line & so very true :)
