I didn't vote myself as I couldn't pick one favourite book (though I've since remembered Iused to regard Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress as my favourite)
Do you have one favourite book,& if so , what is it?
(& if you don't, but do have a favourite author, I'm interested in that too)

I didn't vote either, I kept forgetting. I would have voted Great Expectations by Dickens. It's my alltime favourite book. The one I've read the most (excluding The Hodgeheg & other children's books). & I've always liked it. It's the one book at school I read twice while we were doing it for English (heck, it's the only book I read the whole of when doing it for English)

Dickens is my favourite author too.

Bet you didn't know that one :)

I can't single out one book.

I have favoiurites for reading, I have books which have special meanings, books which remind me of special events, books which make me giggle aloud for no apparent reason and then I have more books, and then I have your books.

My favourite book would have to be a blank notebook.

Full of possibilities ....

initially Jean Webster's book Daddy long legs comes to mind, it's a book I return to regularly since first reading it at about 10, I have 4 or 5 copies and want a copy of the film. I also return to D L Sayers and Georgette Heyer and Lorna Hill for comfort reading. Most of the books I own are rereadable (most again and again). This summer I think I will revisit my Pratchett books, from the beginning.

hmmm I agree with scaree though a blank note book and some time would be good too, or even a look abck at some of the things I have in my ideas book. That needs time and lack of tiredness though
